Harvard and MIT close to ‘cure’ for Type 1 diabetes which will end daily injections

Sufferes of type 1 and type 2 diabetes may have to inject insulin daily

A cure for type 1 diabetes is close after scientists showed they can switch off the disease for six months in animals – which would equate to several years in humans.

This is still a few years away, but what a huge breakthrough and life changing for many it would be.
